“Overall, the Ex was a huge success for 6FTS and UAS, the students gained vital knowledge and experience about the attributes required of a WWII soldier and how this compares to the attributes required of a modern-day RAF Aviator. The added benefit of being able to ‘live’ the same experience as the POW’s and go through the same hardship and suffering they would have adds an invaluable aspect to the Ex, something that cannot be replicated on any other current Air Power Study Exercise (APSE)”
